Ferrara Candy Company Announces FY 2025 Performance
CHICAGO (Feb. 23, 2026) - Ferrara Candy Company, a top-selling sugar confections company in the U.S., today announced its financial results for September 2024 through August 2025 (“Fiscal Year 2025”), highlighted by net sales of $2.2 billion, which represents 3.8 percent growth over the same timeframe in the prior year, another year of positive growth.
Financial results for the year include:
- Growth fueled by strong performance of Ferrara brands
- NERDS brand continued growth, global expansion and category leadership, with sales increasing by more than 9% compared to the previous year
- Completed integration of Dori – Brazil’s leader in peanut snacks and second largest in soft candies – as well as the integration of America’s iconic Jelly Belly Candy Company
- Continued investments of more than $156 million in capital expenditures in the timeframe
Ferrara maintained its position at the top of the U.S. sugar confections industry through innovation in the candy category and new market expansions.
SweeTARTS® brand expanded in the growing gummy category with a ring-shaped duo-flavored gummy, the iconic candy brand Lemonhead® innovated into ropes format, NERDS® Gummy Clusters® launched two limited-time offerings, and heritage candy brands SweeTARTS, Lemonhead, and Spree® were reimagined through freeze-dried products.
Ferrara’s global workforce progressively grew from 8,000 in 2023 to 8,600 in Fiscal Year 2025. The company also continued its global expansion in Fiscal Year 2025, with international success due in part to its top-selling product, NERDS Gummy Clusters. Key growth highlights include:
- The expansion of NERDS Gummy Clusters to the UK made NERDS the fastest growing candy brand in the UK1
- Ferrara expanded NERDS Gummy Clusters flavor offerings in Canada, adding Berry
- For the second consecutive year, NERDS Gummy Clusters won Canadian Product of the Year award in 2025
Ferrara continues to invest in infrastructure to drive growth in the sugar confections category. The capital investment projects undertaken by the company during Fiscal Year 2025 focused on expanding capacity and improving manufacturing operations both domestically and in international footprints, including:
- Incorporation of an enterprise-wide technology infrastructure upgrade focused on improving process flow and productivity
- The purchase of a Ferrara manufacturing plant in Bellwood, Illinois
- Installation of a new production mogul in the Linares, Neuvo Leon, Mexico facility
